Hi!
I’m so glad you dropped in.  I hope you’ll take tour around my new site.  I truly am excited about this website update because it reminds me of how much has happened since its inception in 2002.  Let me share just a few of those things with you…

First, I’ve been speaking at women’s events across the country from California to New Jersey and many states in-between since then.  This is one of the most enjoyable things I do because I get to enthusiastically encourage women; and I love giving and receiving those hugs!  Want to know more? I am thrilled to share with you that Chad and I are speaking together addressing our road to recovery from the depths of alcoholism and co-dependency. See a brief overview about us the “About Doreen” page.  We would love to come and speak together at your next couple’s event.

Today we are proud grandparents of two beautiful granddaughters, Shekinah Faith (now 7) and Hannah Laynne (2). My grandma name is “Leila” and I just melt every time one of them calls my name. One of my favorite speaking topics is Walk in the Royalty You Possess” because I share how these precious girls are part of my royal possessions!  Do your women or teenage girls need to be reminded and encouraged regarding her position and privileges as a Daughter of the King?  I’d love to come.

2005 brought the joy and privilege of Treasured Celebrations Ministries becoming a non-profit organization.  As the founder and president of this ministry I find myself continually thankful for the opportunities I have to see Malachi 4:6 “He will turn the hearts of the father towards his children and the children towards their father” fulfilled before my very eyes.  I have not been alone in this journey as the Lord has brought hundreds of women alongside of me, becoming facilitators of the program.  We have reached several thousand teenage girls and their families to date.  If you’d like more information about our rite-of-passage programs please click here.

This is fabulous news!  Keep an eye on our site because Focus on The Family has just offered a book contract to Pam Farrel (my co-author) and me.   The book will potentially be titled “Becoming a Modern Day Princess.”  It will present the value and purpose of a teen girl’s rite-of-passage into womanhood and be filled with wonderful life-changing stories.  It will hopefully be published in early 2009.

Last but not least…Diane Maxey and I have just launched our first presentation together “Age Defying Divas!”  With all the talk on becoming a Diva today we share from life experience, God’s word and Webster’s definition of a “true” diva.  Our talk is seasoned with humor and spoken from hearts of humility.  Click on “DD Divas” for more details and to book us asap!.
